Simple, Wonderful Truths

It is profoundly interesting to notice that Israel never questioned God's covenant faithfulness until their apostasy and unfaithfulness led them into dire circumstances. But despite misplaced accusations, commission of sin, and the violation of covenant stipulations, God refrains from fully imputing justice, for therein would sin gain victory.

Instead, God consistently remains faithful to his promises--for if he did not, he would not be God--manifesting his love and grace in indescribable ways. Though God indeed pronounces judgment on his people for their unfaithfulness (ie., Israel's exile), that judgment is always accompanied by grace. Only in this do we find our hope and our comfort.
